The Langkawi International Half Marathon 2026 (LIHM) is a premier “runcation” event now entering its prestigious 5th edition. Having evolved from 2,200 runners in 2022 to a massive 6,850 in 2025, LIHM has established itself as one of the most in-demand races in the region, famously selling out within just one hour last year following 55,000 online applications. To preserve the premium experience and exclusive atmosphere that defines the event, participation for LIHM26 is strictly capped at 7,000 runners.

The hallmark of this edition is the “Small Group, Big Hearts” spirit brought to life by Langkawirunners. This dedicated community of 20 Langkawi locals pours their passion, friendship, and deep love for the sport into every aspect of the event. Their local expertise transforms the race from a mere competition into a heartfelt journey, ensuring that every participant feels the authentic warmth and hospitality of the island.

Your four-day race journey is meticulously planned to blend performance with relaxation. It begins with the Race Entry Pack Collection (REPC) at the scenic Lagenda Beach on 10–11 December, allowing runners to soak in the coastal vibes before the main event. On 12 December, the race kicks off at the Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre (MIEC), offering a world-class course that challenges your limits while showcasing the legendary beauty of Langkawi. REPC is at Lagenda Beach on 10–11 December (09:00 am – 06:30 pm). There is no collection on race day.

The race runs from 05:00 am to 11:30 am. You must finish within this window to receive your medal

All finishers within the cut-off time receive an official finisher medal.

Expect a scenic mix of coastal roads and island terrain with tropical humidity.
